In a few hours, the time has come. Shortly after 8 a.m. on Saturday, the first participants will set out on their courses in Zittau. In a targeted running time of 12-15 minutes, the first goal is to make it into the A-final in his respective age group.
Whether this succeeds and which place is necessary for it, depends on how fast the own time is and how many participants have registered in the respective age group. In the elite classes, there are 2 qualifying heats for the women, and 3 for the men.
The final runs of the championships will be run in the afternoon between 3 and 6 pm. The finish area will then be on the market square in Zittau. The best runners of the morning will start at the end of their age group. All participants can be followed at the finish line, parallel to this there will be a visual route. On the market place a speaker will guide through the decision. For all children and other interested people there will be a free participation offer, also food and drink will be provided.
Let's hope that the weather remains halfway reasonable for a sprint in urban terrain. The forecast is 14 degrees and a high chance of rain.
All those who stayed at home and other interested parties can follow the results live. At the final there will be two additional radio controls with intermediate times from the terrain.
