On Sunday evening, the Waldbühne in Jonsdorf will be the venue for the award ceremony of the German Championships over the sprint distance. Since 1953, this has been a spectator magnet for tourists and locals. During the summer months, exciting plays, musical events and concerts by renowned artists can be attended on the open-air stage.
This year the orienteers open the season. On April 30, starting at 7 p.m., a varied and entertaining supporting program is planned with acting interludes, laser show and a trip down memory lane to the DM 2000 long distance in Oybin. At the award ceremony, handmade trophies will be presented in addition to the medals, prizes and prize money. Those who want to dance their legs off afterwards will of course have the opportunity to do so.
On site there will be a food and beverage offer, which will be published in the program booklet.
We ourselves are very grateful to be able to hold our award ceremony in this beautiful setting and have lent a hand with the spring cleaning.
In any case, it is worthwhile for everyone to come by - regardless of whether or not you make it to the podium!
