Training competitions with good participation

May 2, 2021

Due to the current conditions we had decided to offer the Saxon-Bohemian Orienteering Days on May 1st and 2nd initially as an open training. On both days we could be pleased about a lot of positive feedback. However, we have not yet written off the SAXBO in competition form in 2021.

Trainingsangebot SAXBO

On Saturday and Sunday, we were able to observe many familiar and less familiar faces on the four training coures on offer. They ran on all tracks, alone or sometimes together with the youngsters.

The training terrain was technically and also runnerically demanding as usual. The level of difficulty was further increased by several unmapped clearcuts. While it remained mostly dry on Saturday, the participants ran through partly intense continuous rain on Sunday.

We would like to thank you for the verbal and written feedback. This also shows us that this offer as training for the whole orienteering community was the right decision.

Enclosed is an excerpt:
"A nice new happy experience ... and with happy fellow participants and completely in nature in the wonderful forest and wonderful forest smells in spring after/before the rain."

After the successful SAXBO training, we have already moved to the planning stage for a possible competition in 2021. If we have found a possibility in joint coordination between all involved in the Orga team from the Czech Republic and Germany, we will publish this immediately.
