The process of setting the course at an orienteering event is always a comparison between the local conditions and specifications as well as the expected track lengths in connection with the expected running times. This is how the first visions emerge in Zittau.
Especially at a sprint event in a city with numerous historical buildings, passages and parks, the first thing to do is to keep an eye on the ownership structure. Possible traps from the perspective of the organizer and the runners must also be excluded. So you can see the runners looking for control posts and the cheering spectators in the finish area long before the first start.
In historical surroundings it is easy to put your thoughts on paper.
