Traditionally, the joint volunteer celebration takes place after the annual Saxon-Bohemian Orienteering Days at the end of the year. This time, it was a New Year's celebration with numerous participants from Czechia and Germany. Once again, there was a varied program to enjoy.
SAXBO is not only a competition in which sports enthusiasts and helpers from Zittau, Chrastava, and the surrounding area put together a varied program every year. It is also a platform for German-Czech exchange, where people speak, sing, and philosophize about orienteering wisdom in German and Czech. In addition to excellent catering, the POSAXBO celebration always includes a wide variety of activities in which tasks must be solved together.
Last weekend, the venue was the Kammbaude in Oybin. This time, Franka and Robert were in charge of the traditional orienteering. Kuddel contributed a German-Czech quiz. The Czech side also provided comprehensive musical accompaniment, which really got everyone sweating.
After a lively evening, there is great anticipation for the upcoming SAXBO at the beginning of May in the Zittau Mountains. There will be a total of three very varied competitions with a special highlight.
