The arrangements for the 33rd Saxon-Bohemian Orienteering Days are on the home stretch, so that the announcement will be available soon. In the meantime, the key points for the 1st run of the Saxony Cup in mountain bike orienteering on March 23rd have been published.
Last year, we approached the topic of mountain bike orienteering at the MTB-O-Saxony Cup for the first time as organizers. With a small team, the routes led around Lake Olbersdorf in perfect weather conditions.
This year, for the first time, the riders really got to tackle the mountains, with the riding and orientation requirements being age-appropriate, especially on the children's routes. A flag course for cyclists and pedestrians to try out will also be offered again. The competition center is located on the sports field in Jonsdorf, with the race taking place to the east.
After welcoming numerous national and elite racers from Germany, the Czech Republic and Switzerland last year and receiving some tips from them, we have also created a challenging women's and men's course this year (open-medium). If you want a little less mountain and head cinema, adults also have the option of switching to the short course or the course for electric bikes.
If you are interested, we also offer open training on Saturdays. Simply send us a short e-mail request.
