The end of the year is slowly but steadily approaching. The first snow has now fallen in the Zittau Mountains - the mountain ranges are lightly covered in snow. This meant that the annual German-Czech Posaxbo celebration was back on the agenda. The first arrangements for the next edition of SAXBO were also made on site.

The starting point for this year's joint celebration was the cultural center in Chrastava (Kratzau) - a small town not far from Liberec at the foot of the Jizera Mountains. It was therefore not surprising that some of the participants reported on their first ski kilometers in the mountains on Saturday evening.
The Czech SAXBO members from Kratzau had planned a broad joint program, which began with a mixed city orienteering event at night. Each pair had to run through a series of well-known points in the town and find the solution word based on Czech words. After an extensive, typically Czech meal, the puzzle fight against the AI was on the agenda. The evening culminated in singing and celebrating together in several languages. Of course, plans were also made for the coming year.
The date for the 33rd Saxon-Bohemian Orienteering Days has already been set for May 3 & 4, 2025. The new area to be mapped has also been defined in the meantime. This means that all fans of sandstone towers and rocky banks can look forward to an area that was last used 14 years ago.
